Found this picture the other day and recognised it….. thats because i have one sat at home in my loft. This one is a repro and can be bought at www.chaplins.co.uk but mine is an original. I am so pleased i have finally found out some information on it. I had no idea whom it was made by just that i liked it.

I have had the need to do some topics for a while and Vintage stationary was one of them. I like the way it has a used look and feel, chips and scratches make them look better. I will keep adding bits as and when i find them. I hope that in doing this it will spark off my imagination and I will have some great ideas for some new stuff. I just love searching for bits before I know it a whole day has gone by and i haven’t even got out of my dressing gown!! ;0) aren’t those the best days……
Right then i will start off with a good desk, not too big not too small and at it will be a gorgeous chair and on it will be a handsome lamp…..

LAUREN MARSH ROSEWOOD AND TUBULAR STEEL DESK
Another desk that has so much appeal, good lines. A classic as far as i am concerned.
I could go on for a very long time as there are so many that catch my eye. I shall stop now, well for the time being. Sarah Potters site that i found the Richard Hornby desk at has some wonderful items I could spend along time browsing on there, it makes you really appreciate vintage design.
Right next i am going to be searching for the ultimate, the Daddy of all desk lamps. I’ve got a feeling there will be a few of those as l have somewhat of a lamp fetish :0)
Wouldn’t this just sit right on any desk, sleek and well balanced just perfect. I’ll have one please!!

1950's Perpetual Calendar
I don’t know what it is i just love these wooden calendars defineately on my most wanted list. You don’t see too many around now it would be great to see a reproduction of these i think they would do well.
So next in my vintage office I should be looking for accessories. A poster, pencil and sharpener. Letter tray…. actually i think i may be missing something a bit more important first like a chair, guess thats whats next ;0)
So do i go for the classic Eames office chair either the Model 105 AluminiumGroup or the DKW-2 ( which was in fact a dining chair ) well no i don’t.

Eames DKW-2 Dining chair.

Eames Model 105
For me i like something a little more unusual
or something that could maybe be more comfortable
And my own trusted rather tatty looking chair which is so comfortable.

Wallpapers not what it used to be. It’s definitely not boring more amazing now!! From full photographs on your wall so as to imagine you are somewhere else to the London underground map. The diversity is amazing and has sucked me in.
Putting it up is a different matter, i have attempted it not sure if i will again. One thing I learn’t is ‘Paste the walls first’!!!
Here are some of my favourites:

Bodo Sperlein for Lladro
I don’t know why but i seem to have a things for teapots and mugs. Not sure why maybe it’s because i like drinking tea and because I’m British but be honest there is some great ones out there.
I can’t seem to get enough of Letterpress at the minute. I have a few designs of my own i would love to get done and whilst scouting round for someone to do it for me i came across this. All sold out unfortunately. It really is striking though and inspiring. Bjorn Letterpress print them out.
